Latin Instrumental Music program

Latin Instrumental Music program is a unique and integral part of the Kids Artist program. Students have the choice to participate in a 50 minutes class providing students with opportunities beyond the dancing experience. The program is designed to teach students a variety of classroom instruments: ukulele, xylophone, recorder, woodwind and percussion.

The program inspires students’ creativity and imagination, engaging children in the art of music expression and the Latin culture by providing knowledge and skills in practical music making.

Age: 6-12 Years
Term: 7 Weeks
Class duration: 50 minutes

When: Saturday Mornings
 10 am – 11.00 pm

Location: Level 2, 149 Waymouth street, Adelaide.

$10.00 per class for students enrol in Kids Artist Combine Program (Dance + Music)
$20.00 per class for students only who enrol in Kids Artist Latin Instrumental  Program.

Meet our Mentor

Eduardo Ruiz

Eduardo Ruiz

Musician/ Latin Instrumental Music Mentor

Eduardo has been playing guitar for 20 years and he participated in many music festivals in Peru where he performed classical music and world music. He graduated with Honours from the Peruvian National University of Music in 2015 and he won the 3rd Price at the Peruvian Guitar Competition in 2017. Eduardo is an experienced teacher with extensive musical knowledge ranging from Classical, pop, Bossa Nova and styles from south America. Eduardo worked 3 years at “Orquestando” in Peru offering music education for disadvantaged children. In Australia, he had the opportunity to adjudicate the Melbourne Guitar festival and competition and to teach in different music schools around the city. At the moment, Eduardo is doing a Master in Music Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Adelaide as well as performing at major venues such as Elder Hall and Recitals Australia.
