#1 What inspired to start El Ritmo Productions?
In this episode, I share what El Ritmo Productions is and why I decided to open a dance studio. What is its purpose? And why do what I love.
In me, I saw a need in connecting young children with Latin culture. For the reason that there weren’t any creative spaces for a child to keep a culture, for a child to keep a language in a creative and fun way with a focus in getting students to learn routines and different dance styles of South America.
As a dancer myself and someone with a passion for dance, I knew that there was so much more than just learning “how to dance.” It’s about embracing a culture and being proud of it, so I started El Ritmo Production as a place where children and their families could connect, meet new friends, get inspired, learn about the culture behind a dance, and see the beauty of being authentic through dance.
